Only One Thing You Need to Know

You keep reading and trying and reading and searching and trying. You have so many goals and hopes and desires. It's overwhelming, you don't know what needs to be done first and when and how. There's just too much to know and do and have. The truth is...

That's all.

Everything else is a lie that you believe. It will take you no more than 5 minutes to realize it. Why do you want what you want? Isn't it to be happy? You think you need things, events, people to be happy when the truth is that happiness brings those things. Proof: sometimes you got what you wanted but how much did the "happiness" last? Now try to remember the good times. There were times when everything just worked for you, it clicked, it flowed, it was almost effortless. If you remember well enough, you'll see that those times have something in common: you were happy.

How about making this goal your top priority in life, forever: to be happy. It's enough to give you an interesting challenge for life. It will never get boring to be happy or to search for ways to be happy. It will never be the same.

Maybe you don't believe it now but it's still true: happiness brings everything else and everything else is just the cherry on the top. Once you have happiness, you have the cake. The cherry is welcome but it's just the cherry. It's not a big part of the picture, it's not totally unimportant either, but it's just the cherry.

Now I hope that the question on your mind is: how do I become happy? Otherwise you still believe some lie (it doesn't matter that much; I need money; I can't be happy in this situation; some things matter more). If that's the case... well, if you like it, keep doing it. Otherwise... give it the middle finger and leave it behind.

If you're already happy, leave a comment, share the wisdom :).

My best wish for you: be happy!

  1. Hi! Slick

    Thanks for your inspiring posts.

Surly happiness is what all of us are looking for but every one is seeing it in their own special aspect of view, but goal is the same!

Would you please guide us more on how can we FEEL?!!
Is there any manual or ...?

I have read all of your previous posts, the more you talk about Feeling the more I will be thirsty about knowing more about it.

    Many thanks again

  3. Well, lets get something straight here, you can't be happy all the time. EX: a dear friend, loved one passes away, you are not going to be happy for a while, you are going to be sad.

  4. Now, I am going to try break it down to specifics. By the way "I am happy." I am not rich, I rent and I am unemployed. Happiness is not about being rich, you will definetely live in comfort, and be able to eat organic and not have to eat "GMO" foods, but not be necessarily happy.

  5. Is hard to explain but being "happy" has to do more with your "attitude". Is so much fun being around a "happy" person, isn't it?

  6. For exxercise, find a crouchy, unhappy person, and sit next to them for half an hour and talk to them, if you can, then find a happy person, and sit next to them for half an hour, then analyze both scenarios and analyze how you felt. To be continued...
